my daughter is 7months and she is too big for her car seat she when can she use the one where it faces the front?
must i add she is 19 lbs at 7months so um yea can i use it now or do u recommened me to wait until 1yr old?
No age.
Babies do not use boosters, heck toddlers do not use boosters.
Try buying a convertible car seat and keep it facing rear. Facing front is just not that safe at all even for a toddler.
WE have The Fisher Price Safe Voyager Deluxe.
Made by Britax, built like a Marathon, Fisher price name, Britax value at a not so high Britax Price.
Rear to 33 lbs
Forward to 55 lbs
Easy to install, not too fancy, easy to switch. High belt slots for maximum use. Super easy to tighten and loosen. Some can be hard, but this one is a breeze.
My son has used this seat rear facing since he was 4 months old, he is now 16 months and 25 pounds with plenty of room to grow in the rear facing position. I hated using the infant seat. He still had plenty of room in it, don't get me wrong, but it was just so uncomfortable for him. The convertible seat is bigger and had more padding. You do not have to use an infant seat until a certain age anyways, as long as the seat is rear facing. We payed $130.00.
You tube has videos of real people doing reviews too if you want to check that out. Do not buy a 5 lbs to 100 lbs type with booster and all, SUCH A WAIST! They are like "to good to be true" type seat.
The safest seat it one that is properly installed. I suggest getting whatever seat you do choose professionally installed by a car seat tech. Even if you think you know everything you need to know about installing your seat, there is plenty more to learn. I went 2 times and learned more each time.
The "law" for minimum age and weight is 20 pounds AND 12 months, but that is the bare minimum and research shows that is still NOT safe. There is nothing wrong with a rear facing toddler.
Rear facing as long as possible is best.
Don't be the one who uses, "His legs are squished," as an excuse. Broken legs are much better than a decapitated baby.
when they weigh 20lbs

1 year and over 20 lbs. They make car seats that are convertible that are made for larger children and can still face backwards. We had to do the same for my son because he was too tall for the infant seat. Look for Convertible in the label. These can be turned around forward facing when your daughter is ready so they will be worth the cost.

Had to move to a convertible seat for my tall little one.
i think it is either a year old or when the child has reached 20 pounds. i am not so sure cause my daughter is 15 months old and still using the baby one cause she is under 20 pounds . her doctor said we wont change until she is at least 20 pounds . how about you asked your ped?

My carseat says 22 lbs and a year old. Why don’t you buy one of those convertible carseats that are for 5lbs-80 or some pounds

You should have a convertible carseat, one that is rear facing and forward facing.
My twins are both well over 20 lbs, however, I still have them rear facing in the convertible carseats because they go up to 35 lbs rear facing and they are by far safest that way.
No way would I put a 7 month old forward facing. That is a recipe for disaster and probably illegal where you live.

When she is 20lbs AND 1 year old she can switch to using a forward facing carseat. The best type to get is a convertible seat that can be used rear-facing since she has outgrown her infant seat and then switched to forward-facing when she's older. She can't use a booster seat until she's 4 years old and 40 lbs.
